Infusion presents professional learning opportunities for artists and teachers interested in bringing arts integration into schools across British Columbia. Managed by ArtStarts in Schools, Infusion reflects our commitment to promoting the importance of the arts in our schools and communities. There are currently three ways to get involved with Infusion:

Infusion Cohort Program

Infusion: Arts in Education is an intensive and sustained professional learning program for artists and teachers focused on arts integration in schools across BC. The first cohort of the program is now taking place in six Infusion Champion Schools in BC.

Infusion Studio

Infusion Studio is a series of professional learning opportunities for teachers and artists designed to shift how arts based practices and their importance are perceived. We provide practical resources and approaches to enhance the way youth, artists and educators are engaged in and through the arts.

Community of Practice

Join the free online community at artsinfusion.ca. The CoP brings together educators and artists in a forum that provides opportunities for collaboration and mentorship in arts integration. Join now to access resources, share ideas and connect with the community.

Some of the teaching team at Mamquam were interviewed: pictured (from left back row) are Heather Lewis, Anne Thomson, principal Rose MacKenzie and Tina Sherlock. They talked about how the program is rolling out, and what they have planned for the future.

Schools and communities from coast to coast sing in unison.

Music Monday is an event that takes places across Canada... and this year, also in space!

On Monday May 6, at 9 am Pacific Time and at the exact same time across Canada (10 am Mountain Time, 11 am Central Time, 12 pm Eastern Time, 1 pm Atlantic Time and 1:30 pm in Newfoundland and Labrador) schools and communities from coast to coast will be united by the Music Monday theme song, "ISS - Is Somebody Singing."

On a visit to a campaign office where they were helping prepare for the upcoming election, they shared their process in generating the idea and creating the game.

What is Arts Integration?

Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.
